LIMITED PRECAUTIONARY BOIL ADVISORY

The Department of Utilities has received confirmation from the Louisiana Department of Health that the water we provide is safe for consumption. Therefore, the Briarwood Precautionary Boil Advisory is rescinded.

Today, October 13, 2022, a 2” water main was damaged by a contractor in the Mandeville area and water was turned off to complete the repair. Out an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, the customers listed above are under a precautionary Boil Advisory.

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container.  The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.  (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)

Again, please be sure to disinfect your own water prior to consumption until you have been advised otherwise.

The Department of Utilities will rescind this BOIL ADVISORY upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health that additional water samples collected from our system have shown the water to be safe.  

Customers affected by this advisory will be advised when it is rescinded with hand delivered notices.

Today, October 13, 2022, the Department of Utilities turned off water to repair a main water line break near 5th Ave and South St.  Out an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, the customers listed above are under a precautionary Boil Advisory.

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Therefore, the Limited Precautionary Boil Advisory is rescinded for the customers listed below. 1451-1461, 1703-1735, 1801-1841 N. Causeway Blvd and 3704 Forest Dr

Today, September 28, 2022, The Department of Utilities shut off water to the above customers to repair a water main. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, the customers listed above are under a precautionary Boil Advisory.

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Today, September 13, 2022, the Department of Utilities has received results for the samples taken yesterday for the broken water main in the area of 190 and Hwy 22. LDH has confirmed that the water we provide is safe for consumption. Therefore, the precautionary boil advisory is rescinded.

Today, September 12, 2022, a 6” water main ruptured in Mandeville and water was turned off the make the repair. Out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health regulations, the customers listed above are under a precautionary Boil Advisory.

This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Department of Utilities. It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:
