Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day and Wings & Wheels on Tap for Saturday, October 26, 2019 in St. Tammany
Two free events opened to the public, sponsored by St. Tammany Parish Government, are slated for Saturday, October 26, 2019. Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day offers residents the opportunity to dispose of household hazardous waste, and Wings & Wheels gives residents the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of classic cars and airplanes and at the same time visit the St. Tammany Regional Airport.
“Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day offers our residents the chance to take advantage of the proper disposal of things that would otherwise be very costly to get rid of, and do so in an environmentally conscious way. Wings & Wheels is a leisurely way to spend a Saturday, while appreciating classic cars and airplanes, and the people who work to keep them in pristine condition” said Pat Brister, St. Tammany Parish President. “We want our residents to come out and enjoy both events.”
Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day is from 8 a.m. -12 p.m. Plan to come to the Centerpoint Park and Ride, adjacent to Northshore Technical Community College located at 65556 Centerpoint Boulevard in the Lacombe area.
