The St. Tammany Parish Drainage/Mitigation Study Workgroup (DMSW) has been meeting since January 21, 2019 to review the current drainage mitigation ordinances. The DMSW consisted of citizens, current Council members, former Council members, engineers and developers. Their task was to review the current drainage ordinance, take public input and make recommendations to the full Council for potential change, if any. All of the meetings have been open to the public and have embraced the public’s input. Accordingly, Council Chairman Mike Lorino has called for a special Council meeting to be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 6:00pm in Council Chambers, for the DMSW to make their report to the Council members.
