Holiday Updates From St. Tammany Parish Government
The 19th Annual Holiday of Lights will take place over two December weekends: December 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2018, from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. on Koop Drive in Mandeville. Keep an eye out for a complete entertainment lineup to be released soon.
The St. Tammany Fishing Pier, located at 54001 E. Howze Beach Road in the Slidell area, will close on Thanksgiving Day— Thursday, November 22, 2018. On Sunday, December 2, 2018, the Pier will close at 6p.m. for the winter months. The Pier is expected to reopen in the spring, on or around March 1st.
In addition, the following closures will take place at St. Tammany recreational facilities during the holiday season:
In November, the Tammany Trace and the Kids Konnection are closed on Thanksgiving Day —Thursday, November 22, 2018. These facilities re-open on Friday, November 23rd. In December, these facilities will close on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, reopening on December 26th. Camp Salmen Nature Park will close on Friday, November 23, 2018.
All non-emergency offices of St. Tammany Parish Government will close on Thursday, November 22, and Friday November 23, 2018 in observance of Thanksgiving. In addition, the Department of Animal Services will close on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Business hours resume at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 26, 2018.
