St. Tammany Parish and The Tammany Trace Foundation’s 12th Annual Holiday of Lights
The Tammany Trace Foundation’s 12th annual Holiday of Lights begins Friday, Dec. 2, kicking off the season of yuletide cheer, live entertainment and Christmas exhibition. For the past 12 years, St. Tammany Parish and the Tammany Trace Foundation have hosted the Holiday of Lights at the Tammany Trace Trailhead, located off Hwy. 59 on Koop Drive. Visitors will enjoy a Christmas wonderland of thousands of lights adorning trees, holiday displays, as well as the stunning 160-foot water tower covered in lights, all while listening to carolers and other live music.
This year, in addition to the regular light displays which are open to the public every day until 8:00 PM for the month of December, special live events will be held:
Friday, December 2 and Saturday, December 3 6 PM – 9 PM
Friday, December 9 and Saturday, December 10 6 PM – 9 PM
The Holiday of Lights is Tammany Trace Foundation’s biggest event of the year, and could not be accomplished without the hard work of Trace staff, the parish’s network of dedicated volunteers and the generous support of local sponsors. Just as in years past, the Holiday of Lights will need the assistance of charitable donations which are available in tiered packages. With that in mind, Tammany Trace is putting out a call for sponsorship.
Sponsors will receive tickets for the annual Sponsors’ Patron Party, held at the Tammany Trace Trailhead Caboose on Thursday, December 1, from 6 PM to 10 PM. Sponsors will enjoy excellent food, cocktails, live music and a silent auction. For information on Holiday of Lights sponsorship, please call (985) 867-9490.
The ever-growing Tammany Trace, Holiday of Lights, Kids Konnection Playground and future amenities are part of what makes our community so special. Your contributions help preserve and expand our green spaces for all to enjoy. Tammany Trace would like to thank any and all sponsors in advance!
